The idapt Ramp and Step Calculator App enables users to quickly assess gradients and space when considering whether ramps and steps will be required (e.g. for wheelchair users and those with limited mobility).
Key features
- Enter the variables you know (e.g. rise/distance/ tread) and the calculator will automatically tell you the other dimensions.
- A warning will be given if the outcomes do not comply with UK Building Regulations (including factors such as the maximum acceptable ramp gradient and the maximum number of steps in a staircase of a given length).
- Send the results to any email address.
- Edit the original data entered in light of the recommendations made by the Calculator.
- This version of the App takes input in metric measurements only and the recommendations are based on UK Building Regulations.
